Braintree Village have released a message to their customers after they were forced to close because of coronavirus.

Bosses announced the closure this morning following strict new rules set out by Boris Johnson.

In the message, the centre said they will try to "bring you some joy and light-relief in difficult months" as they maintain their online presence.

The statement said: "Dear Friends,

“We have taken the decision to close Braintree Village, in line with government guidance, and it will remain closed until further notice.

“Although we are now closed, our online community is open.

"We will be using our website, social channels and newsletter to stay in touch, and hopefully bring you some joy and light-relief in the difficult months ahead.

"Don’t be a stranger, connect with us on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and register to receive our newsletter, which will mean you don’t miss out on developments.

“We look forward to welcoming you back to Braintree Village as soon as it is safe to do so. Stay safe, stay home if you can, and look after each other.”
