What a nightmare Braintree and Bocking has been for the motorist lately.
Virtually every road in and out of the area has had temporary traffic lights due to roadworks.
Bocking Church Street from the High Garrett entrance has been closed during the day, but no signage exists along High Garrett until you get to the entrance to Church Street, too late to take evasive action and because High Garrett is choc-a-bloc with traffic - as is Bradford Street, as is Coldnailhurst Avenue, as is Panfield Lane - we had to take a circuitous route via Gosfield and Beazley End to get to the top of Bocking Church where we live.
Why oh why is all this work being done at the same time?
Admittedly the schools are on half-term holiday but for this it would be considerably worse.
It does seem madness not to stagger the works.
