AN animal home has been given a cheque for more than £4,000 from a pet shop.
Pets at Home, in Braintree, presented a cheque for £4,406 to Danaher Animal Home in Wethersfield.
The money was raised from in-store collections for the Support Adoption For Pets Charity summer appeal and the Santa Paws Appeal in December.
Pets at Home manager Keith Allison, who presented the team with the cheque, said: “Our customers’ generosity during our appeals has been so heart-warming and we must thank them so much for that.
“This cheque will help so much with our work at Danaher.
Danaher centre manager Craig Horsler said: “We have an amazing team of staff and volunteers who help in the rehabilitation and wellbeing of all our animals.
“But our work is always ongoing and we are always happy to talk to anyone looking to help us, through support in our shops, donations, fostering and volunteering.”
