THURROCK adult community college hosted a careers day for its learners.
Throughout the day, learners attended a variety of free workshops, while the National Careers Service and Anglian Ruskin University attended.
The college’s health and social care learners used the day to sign up to continue their studies in higher education.
One learner said: “I am on a journey of self-discovery, learning to be the true me rather than what society says I have to be and overcoming the belief that I cannot learn or be taught. I am retraining as a counsellor, where I will hopefully make a positive difference to other people and help those with mental health issues”
