POLICE searching for a missing pensioner in Hampshire say they have found a body.
Officers searching for missing John Underwood, 81, say the discovery was made in the area of Abbotts Ann, near to Andover.
They say formal identification has not yet taken place.
Mr Underwood's next of kin have been informed about the discovery.
A spokesperson for Hampshire Constabulary said: "Thank you to everyone who offered to help with searches and who shared our appeals.
Mr Underwood, from Abbotts Ann, was reported missing last week.
The 81-year-old had not been seen since around 10.15am on Monday, November 25.
A man fitting John’s description was seen at 1pm later that same Monday walking on Fullerton Road, just before the junction with the A343 Salisbury Road.
Officers later asked for motorists with dashcam footage in the area to come forward.
