A man has been jailed for seven years after stabbing three people in Witham, including two women.

Gerard Bos, 28, of Humber Road in Witham, was sentenced at Chelmsford Crown Court on Wednesday, November 27.

He was found guilty of one count of causing grievous bodily harm with intent, and two of causing the same level of injury without intent.

Investigating officer, PC James McDonald of Chelmsford’s Domestic Abuse Investigation Team, said: “Bos carried out a frenzied and sustained attack on three people who knew and trusted him.

“It is unthinkable that this happened in a place where the victims should have felt safe.

“I hope this sentence gives him a chance to consider the consequences of his actions, which left one of his victims hospitalised for days.”

Police were called to an address in Humber Road at 7.15pm on Friday, July 12, where they found a 36-year-old man and two women, aged 35 and 29, with stab wounds.

The court heard that Bos had started a verbal argument with one of the women, before taking a knife from the kitchen of the property and attacking the man.

The two women were injured whilst attempting to intervene in the attack.

Bos was arrested after fleeing the property and will be deported to Poland upon his release.
