The demolition of a popular and historic pavilion has continued today and seen some interior walls removed.
Work on the Braintree and Bocking recreation ground building began yesterday and has already seen a small extension knocked down.
The team behind the operation have now begun to make progress on the main building and have now removed the western edge of the pavilion.
The demolition is expected to continue into next week but it remains unclear when it will be complete.
It is hoped a new pavilion will be built in its place which will be fit for 21st century use.
The trust in charge of the building says it will look to work with the public on the new design.
