A man has appeared in court following a spate of thefts from vehicles in mid Essex.
Jason Connors, of Tamar Way, Slough, denied a charge of conspiracy to steal from a motor vehicle during a hearing at Chelmsford Crown Court on Monday.
He was charged by Essex Police after dozens of vehicles in the Braintree and Chelmsford areas were reportedly broken into and had items stolen from inside between August 31 and October 5 this year.
Connors, 24, was remanded in custody and will next appear in court on the week beginning Monday, June 1, 2020.
Katie Hayes, 33, of Pollards Villas, Bardfield Saling, has also been charged with conspiring to steal from a motor vehicle in connection with the incidents.
She was also due to appear at Chelmsford Crown Court on Monday but was unable to attend for health reasons.
Her case was adjourned and she will now appear at the same court on Monday, November 11.
