MORE than 1,400 students flocked to the annual Braintree District Careers Fair to find out their options for the future.

The annual event, held by Braintree Council at Chelmsford City Racecourse, gave Year 11 students from schools across the district the chance to talk to meet and have discussions with and national universities, colleges and employers.

Eighty exhibitors from a range of industries, including health, construction, engineering and finance, came together to tell the students about the opportunities on offer.

Braintree Council deputy leader and economic development boss Tom Cunningham, Deputy Leader and Cabinet Member for Economic Development and Infrastructure at Braintree Council said: “This annual careers fair provides a fantastic opportunity for students to connect with local and national employers rom a range of sectors.

“We also recognise that ensuring students have the knowledge to make well informed, post 16 education and careers choice is vital.”
