Pensioner taken to hospital after collision with car
A pensioner was rushed to hospital after she was hit by a car in Witham.
Essex Police are appealing for information about the collision, which happened around 7.30pm on Monday.
The woman, who is in her 70s, was hit by the car in Station Road at the junction with Avenue Road.
It was reported the driver of the vehicle stopped briefly but left the scene without exchanging any details.
The woman was taken to hospital with arm and hip injuries.
Detectives believe the vehicle involved may have damage to the front driver’s side wing.
Anyone with CCTV or dash cam footage is asked to contact police on 101 quoting incident 1185 of 30 September.
