CHILDREN'S blockbuster Paddington comes to Cressing as a film and food festival arrives in Essex next month.

The screening is part of Film Feast which celebrates film and locally sourced food and drink.

The screening takes place at The Barns tea room at Cressing Temple on Sunday, November 17, at 2pm.

Marmalade-loving bear Paddington will feel at home at the venue which will be serving up his favourite sandwiches featuring preserves by Tiptree-based producer Thursday Cottage.

Festival director Neil McGlone said: “We are incredibly excited to be bringing a slice of Film Feast to Essex with a special taster event this year.

“And I couldn’t think of a more perfect way to celebrate the film Paddington, than to enjoy a marmalade afternoon tea.”

Thursday Cottage's Pele Heydon said: “We are thrilled to play a part in the first-ever Film Feast Essex event.

“We are looking forward to showcasing our delicious marmalades as part of this special Paddington themed afternoon tea.”

Tickets for the screening and afternoon tea are limited and cost £20, including juice and popcorn during the film.

The afternoon tea will include a selection of sandwiches, a scone and two Thursday Cottage marmalades, a selection of patisserie cakes and a hot or cold drink.
