A TEENAGER has been banned from the roads for 14 months for drink driving.
Jake Cobbold was spotted by officers driving his Peugeot 206 erratically in Millennium Way, Braintree.
After being pulled over Cobbold, of Priors Way, Coggeshall, was breath tested and found to have 55 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35.
The 19-year-old admitted said he had drunk five pints of Stella Artois lager before getting behind the wheel.
At Colchester Magistrates' Court yesterday Cobbold admitted one charge of drink driving,
Magistrates disqualified him from driving for a period of 14 months.
Cobbold must also pay a fine of £80, costs of £105 and a victim surcharge of £32, totalling £217.
