LIDL has revealed it is ready to open its new store in Witham next week.

The budget supermarket is inviting customers to the grand opening of its new shop in Bridge Street, which will take place at 8am next Thursday.

A ribbon will be cut at the front of the store and shoppers will have the chance to make the most of a range of offers and exclusive deals throughout the day.

Lidl spokesman Regional Head of Property, Andrew Hodgkinson said: “We would like to thank all those who have played a part in bringing this new Lidl store to Witham.

“It is great for us to be able to create more jobs and investment opportunities in the area, and we can’t wait to start serving our multi-award winning products to the local community.”

The new shop has created 40 new jobs in Witham and offers a host of features including an in-store bakery, customer toilets and a baby-changing area.

Lidl says its new store forms part of a wider plan to expand its business in the UK and build on “continued” financial growth.
