ON THE SCENE: An ambulance is in attendance at the entrance to George Yard shopping centre.
Emergency services were on the scene after a person was reported to have collapsed in Braintree town centre this afternoon.
The incident occurred outside Toni & Guy in George Yard shopping centre at around 12.30pm.
One ambulance attended.
Update 1.50pm:
An ambulance service spokesman said: "An ambulance was sent to George Yard Shopping Centre shortly after midday today following reports of a man taken ill.
"One patient was transported to Broomfield hospital."
