A train fault is causing major delays on the Braintree branch line.
Greater Anglia has tweeted to confirm the line between Witham and Braintree is currently blocked and no trains are passing between the two stations.
All passengers travelling to and from Braintree, Braintree Freeport, Cressing and White Notley have been warned there will be disrutpion until 8pm at the earliest.
Due to a train fault between Witham and #Braintree all lines are blocked.

Services running to and from these stations may be cancelled, delayed by up to 60 minutes or terminated at Witham. Disruption is expected until 20:00. GA
