With each passing week it seems we bring you news of a new housing development planned for our district.

It is well documented our towns and villages are at the mercy of developers because there is no approved Local Plan in place.

This has seen a large number of new homes approved in recent years and led to growing frustration among both residents and councillors.

David Mann is the latest to raise serious concerns about the impact building these new houses will have on our roads during the meeting where 825 homes were approved in Panfield Lane.

It is obvious for all to see congestion will only get worse until infrastructure is seriously looked at.

While new homes may be needed, their benefits will surely be redundant if our road network is not improved as well.
