In this week's Braintree and Witham Times, we bring you a warning about the impact the number of new homes being built in the district will have on traffic.
Councillor David Mann made the call during a Braintree Council meeting where plans to build 825 homes off Panfield Lane were approved.
Mr Mann said the growing number of homes pencilled in for Bocking and Braintree would lead to "severe" problems on the roads in the coming years.
He said: "There has got to be a tipping point somewhere and I think it’s pretty near.”
