A SCAFFOLDING company in Witham has put pen to paper and signed up to become the new shirt sponsor for Colchester United.

The U’s will be displaying the Texo Scaffolding logo after the Witham firm signed a three-year deal with the League Two outfit.

The new deal with Colchester United will begin at the start of the new season and run through until the summer of 2022.

“As we respect and appreciate the drive and dedication it takes to succeed, be it in a sporting or business capacity, we are very much looking forward to an exciting future in association with Colchester United, growing together both on and off of the pitch.”

The new shirt with the Texo logo is expected to be released during the U’s pre-season open day on Sunday, July 14.

Club general manager Tim Waddington added: “Texo Scaffolding are an excellent local business and have been involved in sports sponsorships at varying levels for a number of years.
