Most motorists have noticed that, once again, Essex County Council’s highways department has wasted taxpayers’ money on a road surface between High Garret and Halstead by just spraying the original surface with tar then covering it with chippings.
This has not only increased the surface noise but the surplus amount of chippings are flying everywhere, even at low speeds.
Why on earth could they not have done the road surface like they have all the way through Halstead High Street?
Perhaps someone from Essex County Council can explain themselves.
Isn’t the road from High Garret to Halstead just as important?
And what about the humble cyclist on their racer and the many other cycle clubs and organisation that promote cycling to promote health and wellbeing?
