A photo of two cars involved in yesterday's crash on the A12 shows one of the vehicles on top of the other.
PC Jon Hardy posted the shocking photo of the collision, which happened on the northbound side of the carriageway between junction 23 at Witham and junction 22 at Kelvedon, on Twitter.

The picture shows a white Audi crashed into the central reservation and a black ford on top.
Four vehicles were involved in the crash but police say no one was injured.
Commuters faced long delays on the A12 yesterday evening as police closed the northbound carriageway to allow Essex Fire and Rescue to help deal with the incident.
Drivers on the southbound side were also affected.
Officers at the scene took to social media to warn motorists not to use take pictures.
