AROUND 300 ramblers endured four seasons in one day as they tied up their walking boots to raise more than £4,000 for charity.

Supporters of the Helen Rollason Cancer Charity walked ten miles, four miles or one mile during the organisation's second ever Rural Ramble.

The weather was up and down with some walkers basking in sunshine throughout their jaunt while others had to deal with rain and a hail storm.

The fundraiser took place at the Forgotten Gardens of Easton Lodge, near Great Dunmow.

Fundraising boos Suzanne Watson said: "We’ve been absolutely blown away by the amount of participants that have joined us.

"It’s been great to see families, groups of friends, children and dogs enjoying the walk and the stunning gardens.

"We couldn’t have organised such an amazing and successful event without the help of our great team of volunteers, staff, sponsors and supporters."
