I WISH to make my feelings known over the use of the old police station here in Bocking.
For a start there was never any consultation between Braintree Council and members of the public, nor was there from Essex Police over the use of it being a vets and apartments.
Why do we want another vets? There is one in Millennium Way and one in Witham and I am sure there must be one in Halstead.
Surely, if any common sense prevailed, which there hasn't been any evidence of, Braintree Council and Essex Police should have made sure this building was converted to a decent general store and post office which would have been more useful than a vets.
How many of the residents in Bocking have an animal of some sort or the other?
With the lack a decent bus service along Church Lane it has made it even more difficult for a large number of the residents to access the towns easily to obtain the essential items that are needed every day.
Having a vets surgery is clearly not the answer to making it easier for residents especially the elderly to obtain their shopping and essential things in life.
We require more shops and more essential things.
What has our village got in it to help the residents and elderly maintain their health, lifestyle and welfare?
