DAUGHTERS claimed a convincing victory when they came up against their mothers in a charity football match.

The Great Bradfords Vixens' under 13s girls team trounced their mums in the match which was played to raise funds for the Helen Rollason Cancer Charity.

They won 8-0 and managed to raise £260 for the charity and £260 for the club itself thanks to a JustGiving page.

Lee Summers, coach for the Vixens, said: "It was fantastic, we had Suzanne Watson from the charity come along and she spoke to the girls about what the money was going to be used for.

"We chose the charity because some of the mums have been touched directly by breast cancer or other types.

"To be honest, we were kind of hoping to raise around a couple of hundred pounds but we have lots of fans and family and friends who were kind enough to donate enough to see us over £500."
