A man who was more than twice the drink-drive limit has been ordered to pay hundreds of pounds.
Thomas Truelove, of Van Den Burg Circle, Wethersfield, admitted to drink driving when he appeared at Colchester Magistrates Court back on March 25.
Truelove, 20, was stopped by police in Errington Road, Colchester, back on December 6 where he was found to have 84 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath.
The legal limit is 35.
Magistrates handed Truelove a six-months driving ban and fined him £250.
He was also ordered to pay £400 to the Crown Prosecution Service and a further £30 to fund victim services.
