POLICE are looking for witnesses after a hit and run crash in Braintree.
They believe people in a dark coloured hatchback, possibly a Vauxhall Corsa, may have seen the crash in Railway Street at 5.10pm on Wednesday, March 6.
A police spokesman said: "We attempted to stop a blue Mazda 6 without success and the car collided with six other vehicles.
"The occupants, two men, ran off and were later seen climbing over nearby gardens. They currently remain outstanding.
"Fortunately, no one was seriously hurt and a man went to hospital for precautionary checks.
"The witnesses we’d like to talk to were in the one way section next to Argos and they were over taken by the Mazda 6, who drove on the pavement next to them."
If you were in this vehicle and have information, please call Stanway Roads Policing Unit on 101 quoting incident 916 of 06/03 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
