Drivers faced long delays on the M11 this morning following a crash between two vehicles.
Emergency services were called to the scene just after 9am this morning following the collision, which occurred between junctions seven and eight on the northbound carriageway near Stansted.
Firefighters worked to release a person trapped in one of the vehicles.

The person was evntually freed by 10:48am and was left in the care of paramedics.
Traffic was held while the debris was moved and at one stage cars were understood to be queueing for several miles.
The M11 northbound is blocked between J7 #Harlow and J8 @STN_Airport due to a collision. Please be patient we'll get you moving again as soon as possible

Traffic was eventually released by 11:15am and is ow returning to normal.
