Fire crews rushed to scene of a blaze in a restaurant's kitchen this afternoon (March 11).
Three fire engines were called to restaurant in Cressing Road, Braintree, at around 1.45pm.
A fire service spokesman said: "When fire crews arrived they reported that the fire was located in the extraction system.
"Firefighters managed to extinguish the fire by 2:10pm.
"Fire crews then checked the roof space above the extractor to ensure there was no remaining hot spots."
They left the scene at 2:45pm.
Essex County Fire and Rescue Service has been contacted for details regarding which restaurant the fire took place at.
