The Dynamix Gymnastics Club has more than 200 young people on its waiting list which equates to about 18 months’ wait.

With obesity levels in young people escalating it is crucial those who want to increase their activity levels are given the opportunity.

The club proposes to move into new premises on Springwood Court but requires planning consent for change of use.

This is not guaranteed and will be a challenge to achieve.

Hence I would ask all councillors to support the club’s application so that more young people can participate and achieve their aspirations, particularly girls who are traditionally under-represented in sport and physical activity.

Braintree Council, with its partners, must be applauded for the success of its innovative Livewell and Livewell Child projects, but this work can only continue if more opportunities are given to people to live healthy lifestyles.

If anyone wishes to support this application go to Braintree Council’s website, search and track planning applications, view applications and insert the planning reference 19/00002/FUL.

This club needs you!
