THE first two acts which will perform at a community music festival have been announced.
Five-piece band the Wannabe Shadows and Millie Kirkpatrick will be appearing on the main stage and acoustic stage respectively at this year’s Heditude music festival.
The event is returning to Sible Hedingham following a successful debut last year which saw more than 750 people turn out to enjoy a day of live music.
The Wannabe Shadows will be kicking off this year's festival by recreating the iconic songs from the likes of Elvis Presley, Cliff Richard and The Hollies.
Miss Kirkpatrick, 17, will be returning by popular demand following her appearance at last year's festival.
Organisers hope to sell at least 800 tickets for this year's event, which starts at midday on Saturday, June 8, and beat last year's profits total of £700, which was all donated to charity.
A spokesman said: "The festival is really about bringing together the communities of Castle Hedingham and Sible Hedingham through music and performing arts, and through this event, raising funds for community organisations and causes important to the area."
