A MALE voice choir will return home with two concerts on one day to celebrate the Christmas period.

The Braintree Male Voice Choir will perform a matinee show with the Lyons Hall Primary School Choir before taking to the stage with the Swing Express Big Band in the evening.

The choir last performed with the young group, which has more than 60 members, at a sell-out show in December 2014, while their last show with Swing Express was in May last year.

As the name suggests, they are sure to have your feet tapping with some classic tunes.

The programme will be an entertaining mix of songs with a Christmas theme together with others, both old and new.

The Male Voice Choir, made up of roughly 30 singers led by David Wood, performed for the first time in Sudbury in May, had a successful tour to the West Country in June and performed at Witham Public Hall in October.

Both shows will be on Saturday, December 8, with the matinee at 3pm and the evening at 7.30pm.

A family ticket will cost £25, an adult ticket will cost £10 and under 16s costs £8 for the matinee.

All tickets cost £10 for the evening.
