POLICE officers shot a man with baton gun to arrest him after being called to reports of people being threatened.
Officers rushed to a home in Victoria Street, Braintree, at around 10.25am yesterday where there were fears the man was armed with a weapon.
They got inside the property and managed to detain the man by using a baton gun.
A baton gun fires plastic bullets and can used to disarm anyone who might be posing a threat.
A spokesman for Essex Police said: "A 44-year-old man remains in custody on suspicion of affray."
