FOUR bakers who have managed to raise more than £2,500 with their annual cake sales are back for an eighth year.
Gemma Davies, Samantha Reeve and Daniel and Katherine Savill-Green have held the fundraiser for Children in Need in Crouch Drive, Witham, every year since 2011.
This year it will take place on Saturday, November 10, at 10am with cupcakes, gingerbread, flapjack, chocolate apples, shortbread and more all being gobbled up.
There will also be dairy and milk-free treats and gluten-free options on offer.
Gemma said: “Nothing at our sale costs more than 50p and last year, despite the traditional horrible weather we raised £415.”
Last year’s money took the group’s running total to a whopping £2,643.
