Jobseekers are being invited to informal chats about benefits and getting back into work.

The confidential sessions for residents are being held in Witham on alternate Friday mornings from yesterday until December 7.

Emma Faulkner, who helps residents deal with debt, save money and find work, said: "These drop-in sessions give people a chance to pop by ask me about anything from managing their money to writing a CV.

"You can also speak to our welfare benefits advisor about any benefit issues you may have.

"You don’t have to be a Greenfields resident to come along, anyone is welcome."

The sessions will be taking place at Templars Community Office, in Shaw Road, from 9.30am until 12.30pm.

The office was rebuilt earlier this year after the former building was vandalised by criminals in 2016.

Katee Swallow, neighbourhood co-ordinator for the area, is available at the office on Thursday afternoons for Greenfields residents to pop in and discuss tenancy issues, report anti-social behaviour and find out about volunteering opportunities.

She said: "If anyone would like to give their ideas on what the office can be used for or would like to volunteer to join the Tenants & Residents Association they can contact me."
