THE seventh person to be arrested in connection to a Wickham Bishops crash that left a man dead has been bailed.
Police arrested an 18-year-old man from Witham on suspicion of perverting the course of justice and assisting an offender on Monday.
He has been bailed until November 9.
The arrest was the seventh police have made since the collision in Blue Mills Hill at around 11pm on Wednesday October 10.
Sadly David Jones, 39, from Southminster, died in the crash.
Marcus Wood, 21, of The Street, Terling, is due to appear at Ipswich Crown Court on Friday November 9 charged with dangerous driving, escaping lawful custody and perverting the course of justice.
A 54-year-old woman arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender in connection with the incident has been released on bail to November 6.
An 18 year-old woman from Witham, an 18 year-old woman from Colchester, and a 17 year-old boy from Maldon arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving have been released under investigation pending ongoing enquiries.
A 31-year-old man from Heybridge on suspicion of perverting the cause of justice and assisting offenders has been released without charge.
