HULLBRIDGE Sports head into their Essex Senior League clash with Leyton Athletic looking to bounce back from a first league reverse.

A 2-1 loss at Sawbridgeworth dented a record that read eight wins and two draws after 10 matches.

They will now attempt to hold off second-placed Stansted with a home win against Leyton, who were beaten 4-2 on Wednesday night.

And manager Darren Manning accepts the match has taken on an added significance following the midweek setback.

“Leyton is a very big game for us and we need to bounce back,” said the Sports manager. “They have brought in a new manager and I don’t know what to expect in that regard. But they got a good result against Barkingside and we need to be prepared for any eventuality.”
