A man has died after paramedics were called to Nationwide, in Witham, this morning.
Residents reported seeing the air ambulance land in a nearby park at around 10.30am today.
A spokesman for the East of England Ambulance Service said: "Two ambulances, a community first eesponder, an ambulance officer vehicle and Essex and Herts Air Ambulance attended a medical emergency at Nationwide, Newland Street Witham shortly after 10.20am this morning.
"Sadly, despite the best efforts of all involved, a man died at the scene."
