SOME might despair at the thought of a Christmas Craft Fair taking place in October but plenty of others will rejoice at the chance to get their festive shopping out of the way.

The self-styled early bird event will feature 30 makers and artists who will be selling all sorts of contemporary and vintage items.

It will be the ideal place for shoppers to find some amazing gifts for their loved ones in good time for Christmas with the chance to discuss commissioned pieces with stallholders for that special touch.

The fair will have a range of quality handmade crafts to suit all pockets.

Stallholders will include Capricorn Crafts which makes wooden toys and gifts; Stinging Bullfish with colourful tie dye clothing and accessories and Hawkwood Creations Jewellery.

Dolly Mixtures Glass; MJB Images and The Wild Irish Skincare Co. will also be on hand while Cathy Russell from the Guild of Essex Craftsmen will be demonstrating the art of quilling.

Visitors can also sit down and enjoy some delicious homemade cakes with a cup of tea, all served in lovely vintage style crockery, courtesy of Plum Fairy who will be running the tearoom.

A full list of sellers can be see on www.wearehandmade.co.uk.

The handmade fairs have been running for eights years with previous events taking place across Essex and Suffolk and even at Old Spitalfields Market in London.

There will be free entry to the fair which will take place at Coggeshall Village Hall on Saturday, October 13, from 10am until 4pm.
