A special service is being held in Witham for families who have lost a baby during pregnancy or childbirth.
The 30-minute service will include readings, music and prayers, and will end with the lighting of candles as part of Baby Loss Awareness Week and the Global Wave of Light.
The Rev Canon Sally Lodge will lead the service.
She said: “This short service is for all who have been affected by the loss of a baby in miscarriage, during childbirth or shortly afterwards – whether that loss was recent or many, many years ago.
“The service is open to everybody, including extended family, siblings and friends.
“Everyone will have an opportunity if they wish to light a candle in memory of their baby”.
The service is at St Nicolas’ Church, Chipping Hill, at 6.30pm on Monday, October 15. For more details call Sally on 01376 514190.
