Witham's MP has welcomed the news a new street food and drink market will be rolling into the town.
Priti Patel has praised Braintree Council's decision to bring its popular event to the town and called for the public to support the trial event next month.
Stalls will be located alongside the regular market in Lockram Lane, with favourites of the Braintree edition like the Junkyard Smoke Bloke and Mex Appeal, making the trip across the district.
If the trial on Saturday, September 8, is successful it could become a regular feature in the town.
Ms Patel said: "I welcome food and drink market coming to Witham next month in what promises to be an exciting addition to the current market.
"Events like these bring families into Witham, giving all businesses a boost.
"I would encourage the local community to show their support for the market and come and sample the brilliant food and drink from Essex with global flavours which will be available.”
