A man has been arrested after a tractor, which was stolen from a yard in Great Dunmow, was spotted at the Port of Dover.
Officers from Kent Police arrested the 40-year-old man at the port in the county yesterday morning.
A spokesman for Essex Police said: "A tractor, stolen from Great Dunmow, was stopped by police at the Port of Dover.
"Officers from Kent Police arrested a 40-year-old man on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle.
"The tractor was originally reported missing on Saturday, April 28 from a premises on Chelmsford Road Industrial Estate."
Police say enquiries are ongoing and anyone with any information is asked to call 101 with the reference number 237 of 28/04.
