A compassionate nine-year-old wrote and published a special short story to help save a rare species of big cat.
Bocking Church Street student Theia Bayley, nine, has been selling copies of her story Shadow, which follows a curious girl whose walk in the woods takes an unexpected turn when she gets mixed up with a curse.
The funds raised from the sales will go towards the conservation of the snow leopard - which is officially classed as vulnerable in the wild.
Over the past few weeks, Theia has sold copies of the book at Bocking Village Fayre and her Brownies group.
Theia, a resident of Church Street, said: "I loved writing Shadow and I'm really proud that my book could help snow leopards.
"My next book is set in Tudor London and will hopefully raise more money for the The World Wide Fund for Nature."
Copies of Shadow are available by emailing TBayleyBooks@gmail.com.
