Emergency services were called to an incident in Braintree Town Centre last night.
Essex Police and the ambulance service were seen at the junction of Aetheric Road and Rayne Road at about 7pm.
Witnesses say there was a "large police and ambulance presence", after a potential crash.
We have contacted the emergency services and will update this story when we have more information.
UPDATES 10AM: Police were called by the ambulance service at around 7.05pm yesterday to reports of a collision involving a car and a motorbike in Rayne Road, Braintree.
A spokesman for the police said: "We attended and found a motorcyclist, a man in his 20s, with a serious leg injury.
"If you saw anything or have any information about the incident please call us on 101 quoting the incident number 881 of 23/03."
