Three doorbells went missing during the same day at separate address in Braintree.
Thieves struck at properties in Mountbatten Road, Mill Park Drive and Bamboo Crescent, between the morning of Tuesday, January 2, and late on Wednesday, January 3.
In all of the incidents, nothing else was taken from the properties.
Any witnesses should contact Essex Police on 101.
