A CLASSIC family tale is being performed by a youth theatre group.
Stars from The Essex Group are taking on the challenge of bringing JM Barrie’s Peter Pan to life on stage at Witham Public Hall.
More than 30 youngsters will take to the stage in The Essex Group version, the follow on show from the group’s performances of Les Miserables in Feburary.
Peter Pan is often performed as pantomime, but this version, written by Chater Robison, is described as the great British musical.
The royalties from the show will be donated to Great Ormond Street Hospital, who JM Barrie gifted the rights to in his will.
The show takes place from Wednesday through to Sunday.
Tickets range from £13 to £15. Visit www.ticketsource.co.uk/essexgroup.
