CAKE lovers have named a coffee bar the best in town for its showstopping bakes.
Panners Coffee Bar in Great Notley was taken over under new management in November last year, and the new owner Leanne Davies called it the hub of the community.
As part of the #BDHiddenGems campaign, residents have hailed the coffee shop in Panners Parade a perfect place to meet.
The coffee bar also has an alcohol license for those wanting to enjoy a weekend wine.
Katherine Palmer, Gazette reporter who is discovering the hidden gems of the district, was impressed by the homemade cakes.
She said: “When Leanne took over the coffee shop she said it would be a family friendly place for all to enjoy, and she has certainly lived up to that.
“It’s a hotspot for activity in the area, and you cannot walk by without stopping to have a look at the amazing cake display. It’s not hard to see everything is made with love, it’s most certainly my cup of tea.”
