Gridlock - traffic on the M25 in Essex heading towards the bridge at 7pm
TRAFFIC was gridlocked on the M25 due to a broken down petrol tanker which blocked the road.
The tanker has broken down on the clockwise carriageway at the QE2 Bridge.
Traffic queued back throughout the Essex stretch of the M25 during the Friday evening rush-hour.
But queues eased after the incident was cleared at about 7.30pm.
