Police helicopter searching for man in Witham
A POLICE helicopter has been searching around Witham with concerns for the safety of a man.
Residents in the town, and in Silver End, saw the helicopter circling the area from about 3pm today.
Lee Butler, from Silver End, said: "The helicopter was searching in a circle around School Road.
"He seemed to be centering his search around the fishing lakes area.
"Just before the helicopter arrived I heard a police car come down the road too."
A spokesperson for Essex Police said: "Police had been searching the area following concerns for the safety of a man and inquiries are continuing."
