Election to be held for Witham Town Councillor after Corinne Thompson resigns
AN ELECTION will be held to find a new Witham Councillor following the resignation of Corinne Thompson.
Mrs Thompson, who was councillor for Witham South for five years, left the council last week.
She will be moving to France with her husband, Steve, next month.
Forms of nomination for the district election can be picked up at Causeway House in Bocking End, Braintree.
They can also be downloaded from the council website.
Nomination papers must be delivered to the returning officer at Causeway House before 4pm on Thursday, April 7.
If any election is contested the poll will take place on Thursday, May 5.
