A woman in her 30s was taken to Broomfield Hospital Friday evening after a traffic collision.
An ambulance service spokesman said: "We received a call at 5.19pm last night at Nottage Crescent in Braintree with a report of a collision between a scooter and a car.
"We sent a paramedic, a rapid response vehicle and an ambulance crew. A woman in her 30s had a broken wrist and she was taken to Broomfield Hospital."
A spokesman for Essex Police said: "We received a call at 5.20pm last night. There was a collision with a black Lexmoto motorcycle and a Peugeot 206 on Nottage Crescent.
"Police attended the scene and the driver of the black motorcycle was taken to hospital. Police enquiries in to the cause of the collision are continuing."
