A supermarket has still not decided whether to appeal a planning application rejected by the Secretary of State.
Sainsbury’s wants to build a superstore on the Broomhills Industrial Estate in Braintree.
Braintree Council rejected the plans and fought an appeal last year on the grounds that a new store would take trade away from the town centre.
Planning minister Greg Clark upheld the decision on June 26, leaving the Tesco rival with six weeks to lodge a further challenge at the High Court.
A spokesman said the company was still considering what to do.
